2023 Reserve Pinot Noir, Mardikian Estate

The Mardikian Estate Vineyard is nestled 5 miles from the Pacific Ocean and grows some of the best Pinot Noir in Sonoma. Aromas of ripe, raspberries and vanilla lift from the glass. Deep, full-bodied notes of red berries and baking spice offer a stunning mouthfeel.

About

FROM THE WINEMAKER

“The 2023 Mardikian Estate Pinot Noir immediately draws you in with rich aromas of blackberry, raspberry, and a hint of vanilla, all gently layered with notes of cedar. It’s smooth and silky from the first sip, with soft, plush tannins that make it incredibly easy to enjoy. Juicy berry flavors carry through the palate, offering a nice sense of weight and texture while staying fresh and vibrant all the way through the finish.”

 - Stephanie Pope, Winemaker

VINTAGE NOTES

Vintage 2023 is characterized as one of the longest growing seasons in a decade. The mild weather led to above-average crop yields. With all of the heavy winter rains the reservoirs were full for ideal conditions and saturated soil. The winter rains gave the vines much needed hydration as they woke up from their dormant winter, and because of the cooler season this will be bright, clean vintage.

FOOD PAIRING SUGGESTIONS

Pinot Noir is a classic partner with Sonoma duck breast or Sonoma’s famed CK Lamb. Mushroom risotto pairs wonderfully. Soft Brie, Camembert, Gruyere and goat cheeses are my go to selections.
