Topography

Explore three important milestones in our family's history with Topography. This review of our estate Cabernet Sauvignons, from the northeastern reaches of Napa Valley to the top of Mount Veeder, arrives in a black gift box.
About

From Iron Corral Vineyard on the eastern valley floor to Veeder Hills Vineyard in the western Mayacamas, the inaugural releases of our three estate Cabernet Sauvignons marked a different milestone in our history. Topography explores these milestones:

2021 Mount Veeder Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
In 1978, Donald Hess purchased his first vineyards on Mount Veeder. The rolling slopes of Veeder Hills Vineyard have been the home of Hess Collection Cabernet Sauvignon since our inaugural vintage in 1983.
Elevation: 600'-1,200'

2021 The Lion Mount Veeder Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
In 2001, we introduced The Lion, the icon of our portfolio. Solely sourced from the most remarkable blocks within Veeder Hills Vineyard.

2021 Iron Corral Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
In 2019, the second generation of the Hess Family acquired Iron Corral Vineyard, which lies just beyond Howell Mountain. Iron Corral Estate Cabernet Sauvignon was our first new estate Cabernet in nearly 20 years.
Elevation: 715'
