You are cordially invited to Après Harvest at Hess Persson Estates to celebrate our 45th harvest on Mount Veeder.
When Donald Hess first came to Mount Veeder from Switzerland in the 1970s, he laid the foundation for a legacy rooted in mountain wines and stewardship of the land. Today, that legacy continues with next-generation family owners Tim and Sabrina Persson. This year we are leaning into our founder Donald Hess’s Swiss roots with a proper mountain soirée to celebrate the hard work, artistry, and camaraderie of the 2026 vintage.
Think vintage Alps Après Ski culture reimagined for the peaks of Napa Valley. The experience:
- Meet the Winemakers: Stephanie Pope and Mandy Curley will be raising a glass with us, sharing insights on the 2026 harvest and debuting our much-anticipated Lion Tamer Nemea Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley.
- Taste the wines: In addition to Lion Tamer Nemea, be among the first to taste the 2024 vintage of The Lioness, our iconic Napa Valley Chardonnay, along with a selection of exciting new releases.
- European Culinary Pairings: Indulge in warm, comforting Alpine-inspired bites like chicken schnitzel with mountain lingonberry compote, fresh soft pretzels with cheese fondue, Swiss chocolate “s’more” tarts and much more to pair with our wines.
- Get into the Après spirit: Local Napa DJ Flamingeaux will set the vibe and bring the mountain atmosphere to the courtyard.
Mountain-Chic / Après Attire Encouraged
While there is no dress code, feel free to get into the spirit. From cozy cashmeres and shearling to chalet-chic attire, alpine style is warmly welcomed—though coming as you are is always perfect.
For your viewing pleasure, and maybe even a bit of inspiration, check out some of American photographer Slim Aarons’s iconic Après Ski photographs from the 1960s and 1970s featured on Vogue.com.
