Led by Dave Guffy for more than two decades, the Winemaking Team crafts elegant, vibrant and balanced luxury wines. At Hess Collection, we believe good wine begins in the vineyard — with each new vintage, our winemakers are dedicated to delivering wines which embody a true sense of place.
Vineyards & Sustainability
We believe that quality wine starts in the vineyard. Since our founding in 1978, it has been a core mission of the Hess Collection to nurture the land and return what we take. The Hess Collection winery and estate vineyards are certified sustainable through California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance.
