What is the difference between the Collectors Club and a Hess Plus Subscription?
A Hess subscription offers wines from our Hess Select and Allomi wines, while the Collectors Club offers wines from our Small Block Winery Exclusive and Hess Collection brands. View this comparison chart for complete list of differences between the two options.


Can I change my club selections?
Yes! You can add or change wines on any club or subscription. Note you must have a minimum purchase quantity based on which club you are subscribed to.


Can I add any Hess wine to my shipment?
In general, wine additions are limited to the wines which are included in each club. If there is a wine that you would like to include which is not in the club allocation, please contact us.


Can I order more or fewer bottles to my shipment?
You can add as many bottles as you’d like, but you must meet the minimum number of bottles for your club tier. Remember you can always skip a shipment if you currently have too much wine.


How often will I get my shipment?
Collectors Club ships 4x per year, in February, May, September and November. With a Hess Plus subscription, you can choose a 1, 2, 3 or 4 month frequency.


Can I cancel my membership anytime?
Yes, you can cancel the subscription club at any time under your account settings or contact us to cancel for you. The Collectors Club membership simply requires acceptance of a minimum of two of the club allocations prior to cancellation.


What happens if you run out of my chosen wine?
As a Collectors Club member, you are guaranteed shipment of all club wines. As a Subscription member, there may be times when a wine will go out of stock before the next vintage is released. In this case we will substitute a similar, popular wine. Be sure to check your email confirmation to make sure this is a wine you want to receive.


If I’m a Hess Plus subscription member, do I get regular club member benefits?
No, benefits differ by club and subscription. You can review the difference between club benefits with this comparison chart.


Will I get my first shipment immediately?
Subscription members will get their first shipment immediately. Collectors Club members will get their shipment in the next scheduled club month (February, May, September and November).


How do gift subscriptions work?
Simply choose the club or subscription membership that you’d like to gift, and enter the recipient’s shipping information and your gift message. Please include the preferred length of the membership gift in the shipping instructions at checkout.


What happens if my wine arrives spoiled or damaged, or if I don’t like it?
Your satisfaction is our top priority and we stand behind the quality of our wines. Items that are damaged or not to your satisfaction will be replaced. Should you request a refund within 30 days of purchase, we may require you to seal and return the unused wine in order to qualify for a refund, less a 15% restocking fee.


Why is the wine I received not the wine that was in my queue?
From time to time a vintage of wine will go out of stock before we are able to place the order for you. This is all part of wine’s seasonality and limited production. When we have a newer vintage of the wine you requested we will send you the new wine. If the newer vintage has not been released yet, we will substitute for a similar wine. If you believe your most recent order was placed for you in error and is not what you were expecting, please let us know!

How much does shipping cost?
Subscription shipments offer a flat-rate ground shipping rate of $20, with case orders of 12+ bottles shipping at no cost. For regular orders, shipping charges and carriers are calculated at checkout based on your destination. To get an accurate shipping estimate, add items to your cart and select your destination state from the dropdown menu. We use FedEx services primarily, and can ship via UPS upon request, where allowed.


Can I skip or pause a shipment?
Yes, you can skip a subscription shipment from your account settings, or contact us to help you. To skip a Collectors Club allocation, please contact us.


Can I change my order shipment date?
Yes, you can change your Hess subscription delivery schedule from your account settings. Collectors Club shipment dates cannot be changed, but you can contact us to delay a club shipment if needed.


Can I change my shipping address?
Yes, you can change your shipping address from your account settings.


Do I need to be present to receive my shipment?
All wine shipments require a signature of an adult 21 years of age or older. Notes with a signature left for the delivery companies cannot be accepted as a replacement for a delivery signature. If you are unable to receive your order during the day, we encourage you to consider shipping to an office or other location where adult signature can be obtained during regular business hours. If shipper is unable to obtain signature at initial delivery they will try again up to 3 times.


Can you ship wine to anywhere?
We are able to ship to many locations, subject to local state laws. View our shipping page for a complete list of shipping states and restrictions.
